Ham wrapped prawns

Postby Mac » Sun Aug 17, 2008 3:00 pm

Found this video the other week on a blog and made the recipe yesterday, very nice.

Quite adaptable too so easy to experiment with some flavour

I quite like the idea of prawns wrapped in ham.

Nice recipe Mac (forum expert).

I like the fact it has the words to go with it andthe instructions are kept very basic. This is the sort of thing anyone can have a go at.

I have been trying to have a go at this recipe and found the prosquito ham keeps on tearing. It seems a bit too thin and I now have a pile of shredded ham. Do you think I should try doing it 2 slices together? :conf:

Good video Mac. Like the chef says, don't worry about getting the ham really tight around the prawns as most people rip the ham not realising that it shrinks when cooked. :chef:

I made these earlier in the week and they turned out great. I couldn't find de-veined frozen king prawns, but did get fresh ones in Morrisons. They were a fair bit cheaper than cheaper than cooked ones and surprisingly easy to cook. :thuleft:
